i absolutely love this idea of hanging prints using bull dog clips on the wall. and hanging them in this salon style really pulls it together. (from the august issue of sköna hem).
Exciting news! I have taken the plunge and have moved Poppytalk onto Wordpress (well, a good portion of it anyway —many of the archive po...

You can also do that with binder clips, especially now that they come in colors. Just leave the little "arms" up and put the back one on the picture hook or nail. Works great, looks good, very inexpensive.
!!! You just solved a picture-hanging problem I've had for weeks now. And I have lots of binder clips hanging around!
Thank you for passing on the tip! :)
A friend in Oslo had large prints hanging from these clips and they were really curling around the edges. Too me it looked like the prints were getting ruined, but I can see how it could be charming to some.
can you please tell me where I can find that side table! it's beautiful!
You also have to be careful not to crease your paper where the clip holds it--my partner uses a small bit of tissue or rice paper to create a buffer.
i have used these in the past and totally forgot about them - they work great! thanks for the wakeup call jan - this will weed out a mess of prints!
(i use one on each top corner to avoid the curling natasha was talking about)
yup. clips rule.
It's not as pretty, but if you put binder clips on the bottom two corners as well, as weights, it helps keep whatever you are hanging flat. I use this on posters so they're big enough that the clips on the bottom aren't really noticable.
thanks everyone for your great ideas!
those bulldog clips look great!
i used binder clips for mine, see here:

hey erin - looks great!
Noticed this on Lotta Jansdotter's blog too, using entire board to display swatches. I'm going to try this for my daughter's ever changing 'gallery'. See second 19 April post: http://www.jansdotter.com/blog.php
Forget the clips, I want the side table!!
looks like the an Ikea Stockholm sofa table. we have one in our living room and love it. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80103792
Thanks for the idea--I have this huge blank brick wall, and I figured out that the bulldog clips will stick on with this waxy stuff that doesn't show (unlike sticky-tack), so now I don't have to try to put nails into the brick!
Love this idea and I love the look of the bull dog clips. Sort of old Fashion. And I do have tons of prints lying around the house.
Awesome idea!
What would be the best medium to use, such that holes on the wall are minimal?
Push pins? Certain types of nails?
Thanks!
cup - i'm not too worried about things like that, i just patch them up and repaint, but if you are, i suppose if the work is light enough, pins may work.
I love yours! Mine was a little montage of family pictures, but I should add some other imagery for fun. Thanks for sharing.
I can't wait to do this to our living room!
