color and the front hall

thinking alot about colour lately. maybe because we are thinking of painting (um, eventually). i came across this article in canada's wish magazine about colour and ideas for each room. if you click on the paint chip page to enlarge you can read each idea. i'm really drawn towards this front hall and the first three colours. (they didn't scan through exactly, the style picture is closest, but i like the idea of the wall painted in benjamin moore's leisure green and trim in benjamin moore's clarksville grey (which looks more beige in the style shot). then painting an accent furniture piece in cil's golden green (which actually looks quite yellow in the style shot and the color i prefer). and while looking around online last night i found these pendant lamps that were in that same color and closer represented the real colors i believe. hard to get the real idea on screen, but if you can subdue the chips a bit hopefully you can imagine. (also, not that i have a back hall - it's just the words they used).

That first photo almost matches my bedroom colors. I had a hard time finding a color that would work with the strange preexisting trim. I haven't been happy with combination. However, after seeing this picture, I can see it in a new light. You have no idea how much you've helped me. Thanks!
