recycled inspiration - sandy stone

i've always subscribed to the more modern design magazines but lately i've really liked mixing it up leaning a little to the west with such magazines as country living which offers up just enough vintage and midwest modern. i loved an article in the march issue featuring the minneapolis-based decorative artist, sandy stone. using everything from salvaged zippers to fraying house dresses, she turns recycled bright fabrics into gorgeous pillows, chairs and other home decor accessories. sandy sells her work, along with vintage goods at huntandgatherantiques.com. for more inspiration, go to countryliving.com/stone.

{the following two images below are from countryliving.com's online article. i love her car emblems above her stove and the black and white postcard walls}.

Using belts as the caning for a chair = brilliant. Thanks for pointing this out! I think that is my next home project.
