wake up in the field

Picture-2

with all the eco-minded things going on around here, i came across this recycled french antique frame bed reupholstered in this dandelion print in wish magazine (april issue) and couldn't help but post about it. from www.chaircouture.com and designed margaret elman, this one-of-a-kind is way over my budget, but a girl can dream.

Oh wow! (I can't even bring myself to check the price - don't want to dash a dream so early in the morning.) You know though, this would be a great DIY project - some foam core, some similar fabric, and a staple gun. Shouldn't be too hard right?

This is practically magical! I wonder what kind of stuff would go together with such strong statement of a bed?

I want that. I wonder if I could recreate it somehow....

aww that is really sweet. it be a cinch to use a photo mural on a more modern, simple bed. or those french beds with no padding..just the wood and paneling..that could be kinda neat. anyway, you could probably use one of your own photos as well! someone better do this and post photos! :)

This is amazing. I think I'd be too excited by its prettiness to sleep in it.
