If you're in the Boston area this Friday evening, Leah Giberson has six new paintings in the group show, Cloth Paper, Scissors at pinkcoma gallery.

When: Friday, December 12, 5 - 11 PM
Where: pinkcomma, 81B Wareham Street

This one-night exhibition and sale (on Friday, December 12) builds on 2007’s successful print-themed show (deemed "contempo" and featured in DailyCandy's weekend edition). This year’s show focuses on printed, sliced and stitched works by Boston-area artists and designers. Whether on paper, canvas, t-shirts, or textiles, the sixteen featured artists display a variety and breadth of design sensibilities. Each designer will present two to six pieces, with editions available for sale.

LETTERPRESS SWAP


Kelly of Paper Stories is organizing a letterpress print exchange for any interested letterpress printers. The swap is for letterpress printers and in the end, each printer will receive a bunch of wonderful letterpress prints. She's hoping this could perhaps become an annual event and even an exhibition down the road. She is also asking everyone to photograph the results so that she can share them with everyone.

The actual exchange doesn't happen until March so there is plenty of time but they should sign up soon if interested. All the details can be found here

FRESHLY BLENDED PRINTS



Nicole of Freshly Blended has some new prints in her shop called, Land Birds. This is a series of 4 prints. 2 prints are two color letterpressed at 8x10" and 2 are two color gocco prints at 6x8". All the prints are printed on eco-friendly papers with lots of tender loving care!
