Dream Sofa's

Dream Velvet Sofa from Graham & Green

I've been dreaming about a new sofa as of late and have been collecting favourites online as I see them in passing. These one's are dancing around in my head as I throw around ideas and plans for our new living room. I'm really loving the bright pinks, but will I grow tired of it shortly after? White is always safe, but not practical. Blue is a new colour I've never actually considered for a couch, but I'm loving this one here. What's your favourite? Or maybe you have a link to share? I'd love your feedback.

I love the first one from Graham and Green. Sometimes you just have to break out of that 'safe' rut and go for it. Besides how could you ever get tired of pink! x

I just bought the movie sofa from CB2 and the delivery service and customer service and final product were not to be compared. I am so happy with it!

The first one! It has character, and will not go out of style.

The second one is awesome, but I think (depending on what your living room currently looks like) it may be dated quite quickly

The other two are a great shape, but I'm not feeling the colours

Love these sofas! I'm in the market myself! I'm a fan of the blue. Also, check out www.tylerking.com. At first glance the website doesn't look that awesome, but I ran into some of their pieces at a boutique here in Nashville. You can get pretty much any of the items customized and they have hundreds of fabric swatches to choose from. The pieces were gorgeous and well made!

I love that one from Anthropologie. No it isn't practical- it goes against all advice that says "buy neutral investment pieces"- but it's awesomely cozy looking...

I love the Presidio Sofa from Williams Sonoma, nice and neutral.

The Presidio is my favorite, but I have to say that the Mitchell & Bob sofas I've sat on have uniformly been well made and super comfy...

I love the first one! I believe in color and have big pops of it in our place! Like the discontinued bright green wool chair from Anthro!

But that being said, I also really like the blue one. You could always get that one and then add color with pillows, or with a throw and change them out depending on season or mood...to lighter neutral colors, etc!

So ultimately I think the 2nd one might get you further, if that makes sense? And then maybe have a bolder smaller piece of furniture int he smae room as the couch!

I love the red couch from Graham and Green. It's modern and simple in the design but then has that great pop of color.

I'm not sure if I'd ever get tired of the pink striped kilim from Anthropologie. It reminds me of an eccentric British Colonial family just home from India. So much of my stuff is neutral, it would be fun to have something really special.

Speaking of neutral, if I got too freaked out about the pink, I might go with the Cotswold sofa from Anthropologie- leather has worked out really well in our house with a five year old.

I am not really sure if I would go with any of those..but without seeing your house, just judging from your curatory (a word?) taste...this blog post at Blue Turquoise, totally jumped out at me as special and practical--practical as in sitting indian style on the sofa in black heels, will not hurt it--rather, if it does, that will only make it even more special.
Here's the link Honorable mention definately goes to the Anthropolgie couch.

I love the Presidio, but in other forums (fora?) I've read cautionary tales about the "single cushion" seat on sofas - e.g. greater tendency to lose shape over time. Something to think about. I think its hard to beat MG, personally, for looks/quality/price.

I own the Presidio Sofa manufactured by Mitchell Gold for Williams Sonoma Home. Ordered it with standard cushions. HATE IT! VERY uncomfortable!!! Contacted WSHome to order replacement cushion MGBW will not sell them. WSH was very helpful. Beautiful sofa but terrible for relaxing.
