Weekend Project: Découpage a Chair

I'm so excited as I'm heading out to a country farm this morning; more exciting news on that soon! But I'm looking forward to getting out of the city for the day to visit some nice ladies and take in some fresh country air (and hopefully sun)! So in the meantime I leave you with this weekend's project from the folks at Style at Home. They've come up with a tasteful transformation using découpage (the art of cutting and pasting paper) on some old plywood and metal hall chairs to create a very pretty result. Click here for the instructions. Happy Friday!

Oh decopage...what a great way to liven up anything. My sister and I decopaged some old ikea furniture of mine when we were kids it was too fun!

I loved that project when I say it in the mag, such a fun and inexpensive idea! Plus those chairs totally take me back to grade school!

I've never thought of decoupaging a chair! I've done hatboxes before, but never furniture. What a great idea!

I decoupaged a small bedside table and made a giant mess. In the end, I gave it away. I think I need to try this again. It's a cute chair!
Did you have a good time in the 'country'? ;)

What a fantastic, fantastic idea!

Heather & Pinecone Camp - I did have a wonderful time in the country! A cute little girl was especially delightful, I only wish I could've fit in the wagon there and someone would have pulled me around as I leisurely snacked on rhubarb pie.

This would be a good way to recycle all the Christmas cards that you get in the mail!
