Rewritable chalkboard pennants by Paper Satchel.
Contributor post by Eva Jorgensen of Sycamore Street Press
Although a tornado warning and its accompanying gusts of wind kept me from walking the entire fair this weekend, I still saw a fantastic variety of handmade goods. Renegade Brooklyn is one of my favorite shows to attend and exhibit at, and aside from the weather, this year did not disappoint.
Up in the Air Somewhere's new line of vases, bowl, and necklaces are lined/dipped in colored rubber. (Images below).
Tugboat Printshop's art cart was full of their meticulously hand-carved woodcut prints.
Cheerful hair ribbons and clothes made with African Dutch wax cloth by Les Enfants Sauvages. (Images above).
Patterned drinking glasses by Kyla Francis.
Fabric flower hairpins and hand-cut collage paper goods by Wren Handmade.
Hand-sewn leather purses in a rainbow of colors by Rennes.
Delicate necklaces and more by Nous Savons.
Reusable lunch tote, wooden apples, and growth chart kit by Miss Natalie.
Plush animals made from quality wool fabric by Miaow.
Fabric monogram key fobs, buttons, and necklaces by K. Flick Studio.
Wearable art bracelets by Inknjoy.
Tea towel and poster with hand drawn illustration by Claudia Pearson. On a side note: together with a over a dozen other handmade artisans, Claudia has opened a pop-up shop on Governor's Island this summer.
Clever T-shirts by Campfire.
A round, hand lettered calendar by Caitlin Keegan.
Happy (and sad) cloud pillows by Allison Cole.
Modern needlepoint samplers by Chez Sucre Chez.
This will be my last post from New York City! My husband and I have had a whirlwind month of shows here in the Big Apple, but we are ready and excited to go home and get back in the studio.
