IDSwest Media Preview: Design on Display

Last night Earl attended the IDSwest media preview for their event happening at the Vancouver Convention Centre this fall (September 29 - October 2nd, 2011). Highlighting the show this year will be the L41 Compact Home (images below) designed by architect Michael Katz. On site for the preview, the L41home is an ultra-compact, affordable, sustainable, energy-efficient house.

Other lineups for the 2011 show will be a keynote from Ross Lovegrove, a Tom Dixon pop-up bar (designed by the man himself) presented by Inform, lighting designer Jeremy Cole, local design star Omer Arbel, an entrance lighting showcase by Enlightened Design, Future Masters Vol 2. will return with the design stars of tomorrow (in partnership with Artsy Dartsy), Studio North (participation option for emerging design firms), the hobo lantern (a portable luminary and handbag) by molo and more.
