Missoni for Target is Here!

The highly anticipated arrival of the Missoni line for Target is here (launched online today) and to be honest, I'm liking what I see even more than I thought I would.  What you ask?  Those multi-coloured file folders (so fabulous), the luggage, the rubber boots, and um, ok I could go on and on. There's over 400 items from paper goods to even children's wear.  Check it out here.

We went Target at 8:30am and were told that the store hadn't even received much of the merchandise and a frustrated manager said he couldn't understand why they promoted it so heavily and then didn't send the needed inventory. Also, looked like people scooping up whatever they could to sell on EBAY or something. So disappointing...

I just went to two Targets and thankfully got the pair of flats I have been eyeing for months! They told me that the line is flying off the shelves. If you want anything from this line, I suggest you put some wheels on it and get to your local target ASAP!

Every time I read, "Missioni for Target is here!" I think, "Missioni was here and left within 5 minutes of opening." *sigh* now it's all on eBay.

It was crazy in my local store - I got there at 8:10 and almost didn't get anything. I got some flats and a laptop sleeve, but only because I'm fast.

I hate that they didn't limit people to 2-3 of a single item. There were people dumping entire shelves into their carts.

I wanted one of those infinity scarves but wasn't willing to wait in line in the morning or any other crazy stuff. I did go later in the day and never found one. :( I did buy a couple items for a friend who isn't in the states but I really wish I could find that scarf.

Sorry, but I never cared for Missoni in the 70s, and still don't care for it. Obviously, most of you posters do like it. I'm more of an art nouveau and art deco officiando who likes the curved organic shapes and fantasy images, and the deco sleekness. All those rich natural browns, bronze, blues and greens. It's strictly personal taste, and I know my style seems a more formal than the modern, sharper, technological, and streamlined modern taste.
