The Shop at The Standard Hotel New York will launch their next artist edition tomorrow with Jeff Canham. Past artist editions have included works by KAWS, Ryan McGinness, Julia Chiang and Anthony Lister.

Canham is well known in the surf community – formerly the art director of Surfer magazine – for his colorful typographic compositions, creating designs for Jack Johnson, The Mollusk surf shops, Patagonia, and Roxy. Referencing traditional nautical flags, Canham's edition of flags and pennants playfully reinterprets the alphabet – 26 hand-painted pieces. Three oversized five-foot flags will be on display in The Standard’s Living Room and one site-specific piece will be created in The Shop.
