Contributor's Holiday Gift Guide Series: Everybody Likes Sandwiches

Contributor post by Jeannette of Everybody Likes Sandwiches

Winter seems to be settling in and all I want is to be cozy and comfortable. Here's my 2011 holiday gift guide filled with all kinds of sweet & pretty things for the kitchen and beyond. I'd be pleased as pie to receive any of these items so I'm sure there's something here for just about anyone on your list!

Sweet tooth alert! I love the fine art food paintings by Joel Penkman (above). His etsy shop is peppered with prints of British candies, jam tarts, biscuits, iced lollies and the prettiest sticks of rock candy. It would be hard to pick just one print for your kitchen!

Everyone loves cookies and I'm sure any baker would fancy this hand-made cloud cookie cutter from father-daughter company, Harriott Grace.

Vintage and rustic, this Falcon Enamelware Bake Set would give any kitchen timeless appeal. Not only is it functional for any want-to-be baker, but it's so gosh dark pretty to look at. And it comes in red too!

Who doesn't love homemade pie? Bake up your favorite pie for your neighbour and let them keep this gorgeous handmade Pie Plate from etsy-seller Round Roof Designs.

A good wooden spoon should not just feel good in your hand, but feel like an extension of your arm. These spoons from Micellaneous Adventures are made from responsibly harvested birch, carved by hand and protected by walnut oil and beeswax.

Tea towels make a lovely gift and these fun teacup & kitchen printed ones from Finnish site, Polkka Jam are gorgeous. Not only is a tea towel handy to have around, it also does double-duty as wrapping for another food or kitchen themed gift! What's not to love?

Almost every evening I brew up a pot of tea and I think I'd be much happier if I had a pretty tea pot like this modern striped ceramic one from David's Tea. They're under $20 which makes them easy to gift!

While a pretty tea pot is a lovely thing, keeping tea hot is even better. Who could resist this Hand Screen Printed Owl Tea Cosy in Teal from Robin and Mould?

Got a whiskey snob on your list? I think these mid-century glasses by Finnish designer Kaj Franck could make anyone weak in the knees. Gift with your favorite bottle of bourbon and the rest of your holidays will go by in a blur.

When you've finished all your prep for the holidays, wrap yourself in this gorgeous Canadian Wool Blanket and pretend your in a toasty cabin in the woods. Treat yourself as this is one gift that won't go out of style.
