Book Giveaway! Kids Crafternoon Series

Guest contributor post by Lisa Siebert of Loop Loft

Hi it's Lisa Siebert of Loop Loft! I am super jazzed to be doing a book review (and giveaway) for Kids' Crafternoon: Felting on Poppytalk today, as it is one of four books in the Kids' Crafternoon series and I happen to have been asked by the crafty-one herself, Kathreen Ricketson of Whip Up, to include a project in this book! This was a first for me and I loved every minute of creating the up-cycled sherpa hat featured on page 34 in this book.

The first two books Papercraft and Sewing were released summer 2011 with Beading and
Felting being the last of the four books in the 'Crafternoon series' published by Hardie Grant
that were recently released in Australia.  These books pull you in with their colorful pages,
fun projects, and easy to follow directions with diagrams and templates.  The crafternoon books
are geared towards children with the aim of getting their crafty-juices flowing...every project is
laid out based on ability level and time needed so kids can choose their projects to do all alone
or with minimal adult assistance.

These books would be equally awesome for adults who are looking for some new DIY
gift-giving project ideas.  I have gathered my supplies and I am gearing up to make the
zombie critter charms and using them as tree ornaments and gift toppers this holiday season.
I am thinking they would look snazzy with mustaches so I may be adding my own touches!

To celebrate the release of these last two books there is a little blog party and I, Lisa am the
last of eighteen stops - on this guest post here at Poppytalk.  Every party needs a gift...if you would like to be gifted (or win) one of these two Crafternoon books simply leave a comment here at this post. Comments must be posted by Saturday, Dec. 3rd at 11:59 pm.  Two winners (one for each book - Beading and Felting) will be drawn randomly on Monday, Dec. 5th.  Good Luck!!!

All four of the Crafternoon books are available for purchase through Amazon and Booktopia.

My kids would love the either book, but I think the felting one would complement their hand sewing skills.

Love these books! This is everything we are working to achieve at Eleanor's Revolt. We would love to incorporate some of these projects in our curriculum. Thank you for helping keep CREATIVITY alive for the little ones.

These books look just as brilliant as the first two in the series. I'd love to win the felting one (though honestly, either would be great) to do some crafting over Christmas with my son before he starts school next year.
