This weekend's project idea comes from the September issue of
Country Living and Janet Lee's book,
Living in a Nutshell where she shows how to create these adorable paint-by-number projects using used or new paint by number canvases and turning them into table tops, drawers and sconce shades. Such a clever and fun little idea for a DIY. Get the how-to at Country Living's site
here. But I also suggest picking up a copy because for one, the 2012 House of the Year is featured –showcasing three tiny cottages; teaming up with three of their favourite designers and experts) - one of the being Shauna Alterio and Stephen Loidolt of
Something's Hiding in Here (former Poppytalk contributors)! Each space is so adorable, making the backyard shed idea even more attractive. I picked up my digital copy at
zinio.com. Below a sneak peek of some highlights. You can also see a video tour and extra info of their House of the Year
here. Also check out Stephen and Shauna's old DIY - "I Made this for You" posts with us
here and Shauna's Tools of the Trade posts
here. (I love seeing former contributors of ours doing so well, makes me super happy! Congrats to them!
